''....although it appears the entity that has led the recent historic democratic transformation in Turkey is the Justice and Development Party (AKP) -- i.e., a political party that is part of the political superstructure -- the real driving force behind this change is the ever-growing sociopolitical infrastructure. I further underlined the undeniable role the Hizmet movement, inspired by the ideas of the esteemed Fethullah Gülen, as a rising part of Turkey's sociopolitical infrastructure, is playing in Turkey's democratic transformation...'' ''One of those that best took advantage of the suitable climate created by Özal for the flourishing of civil society was undoubtedly the Gülen-inspired Hizmet movement. Without understanding the part played by the Hizmet movement and similar socially dynamic civil society movements, one cannot make sense of Turkey's recent success in its struggle against deep state networks or of the colossal progress it has made in democratization and economic growth'' http://www.todayszaman.com/columnistDetail_getNewsById.action?newsId=281126#.T7xsV4TxWL0.facebook
A recent survey conducted in Egypt has revealed that the majority of Egyptians think the Turkish model best reflects their aspiration for the role of Islam in politics and almost two out of every three Egyptians surveyed stated that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the leader who they admire the most. http://www.todayszaman.com/newsDetail_getNewsById.action?newsId=281131
''To this end, Turkey’s governments since 2002 implemented bold economic reforms that paved the way for sustainable growth and provided a firewall against the financial crisis that hit in 2008. As a result, in less than a decade, GDP has tripled, making Turkey the world’s 16th largest economy. Moreover, the country benefits from strong public finances, prudent monetary policy, sustainable debt dynamics, a sound banking system, and well-functioning credit markets. At the same time, we expanded the scope of individual rights, which had long been subordinated to security concerns. We streamlined civil-military relations, guaranteed social and cultural rights, and attended to the problems of ethnic and religious minorities. These reforms transformed Turkey into a vibrant democracy and a more stable society, at peace with itself and able to view its external environment in a different light. Quite simply, we stopped viewing our geography and history as a curse or disadvantage. On the contrary, we began to regard our location at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East as an opportunity to interact simultaneously with multiple players. As a result, we began to reach out to countries in our neighborhood and beyond. We tried to expand political dialogue, enhance economic interdependence, and strengthen cultural and social understanding. And, while ten years is too short for a definitive assessment of such an ambitious policy, we have undoubtedly covered considerable ground. For example, we have quadrupled our trade volume just with our neighbors. On several occasions, we have also been instrumental in facilitating peace and reconciliation. But, what is more important, Turkey has become a model of success that many countries around us now seek to emulate. And yet, until a year or two ago, some political pundits were asking, “Who lost Turkey?” or “Whither Turkey?” – the assumption being that Turkey had shifted its foreign-policy axis away from the West. In fact, Turkey’s external orientation has remained constant, because it rests on the values that we share with the free world. What has changed is our increased assertiveness in our efforts to ensure greater stability and human welfare in our region, evident in our advocacy of freedom, democracy, and accountability not only for ourselves, but also for others. -Abdullah Gul http://www.todayszaman.com/newsDetail_getNewsById.action?newsId=281079
saya bersetuju dgn debat ini bukan sebab mengukur kepimpinan seseorang dengan hanya kepetahan bicaranya-retorik pidato nya(sebab ramai yg pandai berkata-kata tapi gerak kerja ,hancur! ) .Tapi debat ini satu seni melontarkan kebijaksanaan-idea-pemikiran.Kalau idea-pemikiran anda ,hancur! ,ia juga mampu menghancurkan gerak kerja anda!Sebab itu kita perlu sentiasa mengasah aqal rational -berfikir(jangan larang orang lain berfikir dan mengharamkan penggunaan aqal tau !).Jangan tuduh-label orang lain yg suka berfikir dan menggunakan aqal dengan istilah liberal- muktazilah-neo muktazilah lah tau!Tapi kalau nak tuduh-label pun silakan lah!:) Hidup muktazilah! ..opps...:)

Turkey’s Brilliant Statecraft: The Achievement of Ahmet Davutoglu http://richardfalk.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/turkeys-brilliant-statecraft-the-achievement-of-ahmet-davutoglu/ THE CAIRO REVIEW INTERVIEW: Strategic Thinking http://www.aucegypt.edu/gapp/cairoreview/pages/articleDetails.aspx?aid=143
''Erdoğan noted he first got involved in politics in İstanbul, starting as a youth branch leader, then as a district head and finally as the city’s mayor. “Today, the friends of ours who were with us as our comrades in those days are here. Today, our friends that we founded the AK Party together with to walk the path of serving the nation are here. Today, we are a huge group, a party that holds its provincial congress at a stadium. We are not together for profits, for offices or seats, we are together for a cause.” http://www.todayszaman.com/news-281681-ak-party-congress-sees-record-attendance.html
''The Arab spring and the ensuing debate about “Turkey as a model” have added to the overconfidence of Turkish political actors. The Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs started to talk about “constructing a new order” and “a new Middle East” under the leadership of Turkey. This new language goes obviously beyond the liberal premises of the AK Party’s earlier stand of cooperation, engagement and dialogue. Questions are increasingly raised as to whether Turkey has abandoned “zero problem policy” and “soft power” approach, and embraced a policy of regional hegemony even domination.'' http://www.todayszaman.com/columnistDetail_getNewsById.action?newsId=281659#.T8NMfAZOVt8.facebook
''Turkish foreign policy today is the design of President Abdullah Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoğlu. I believe the inner bargain struck by these three actors determines Turkish foreign policy.'' ''The key actor in Turkish diplomacy is Davutoğlu. Davutoğlu's main approach to diplomatic analysis is civilization. To him, states should act in the manner of the historic structures of their civilizations. Therefore, the Ottoman civilization from which the modern Turkish state evolved shapes his diplomatic paradigms. As a person who analyzes world politics through a “civilizations” lens....'' http://www.todayszaman.com/columnist-281620-erdogan-gul-and-davutoglu-the-inner-bargain-on-turkish-foreign-policy.html

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7BKKEnw7hI Kenapa banyak orang ingin menang ? Apakah itu hasil akhir kehidupan ? Kenapa kekalahan menjadi aib ? Apakah itu kesalahan manusia ? Demi kemenangan rela membunuh Demi kemenangan rela memperkosa Apa saja akan kamu tempuh Agar kemenangan dapat diraihnya Kenapa kebenaran tak lagi dicari ? Sudah tak pentingkah bagi manusia ? Apakah kebenaran tinggal kata kata ? Dari bibir pemenang pemenang semu Aku menjadi lelah dan sangsi Terhadap kemenangan kemenangan itu Biarlah aku kalah asal tak memperkosa Biar saja aku tak menang Asalkan tak menginjak nuraninya Aku tidak ingin menang Aku hanya ingin benar Walau harus menggali sukma bumi Merenangi gelombang samudera Aku tidak ingin menang Aku hanya ingin benar Walau harus menggali sukma bumi Merenangi gelombang samudera
